Speaking of blossoms…

A group of 20 Sense of Sound Singers recorded backing vocals for the incredible Manchester band Blossoms, on the stripped back version of their hit, “There’s A Reason Why”. Jennifer John’s choral arrangement of the song saw its release on Spotify and James Skelly of The Coral produced the modern classic with Blossoms. What a combination of talent! As always the choir loved working with the band and the producer especially in one of the best recording studios in the North West, Parr Street Studios.

Sense of Sound Singers also performed alongside Blossoms at Manchester Piccadilly Station for BBC Music Day. Crowds of commuters and fans gathered to watch and be blown away by the surprise performance. The choir then hopped back on the train to Liverpool Central Station for Mersey Rail Sound Station’s contribution to BBC Music Day, the choir sang with 3 incredible emerging artists: Astles, Beija Flo and Niki Kand.

Jennifer John also proudly began lecturing at the prestigious conservatoire, Royal Northern College of Music and opened her studio on Bold Street 128, Top Floor, Liverpool, L1 4JA (above The Italian Fish Club). A light and bright space perfect for singing workshops, small singing groups, and 121 artist development sessions. Thank you to Rosaria Crolla and all the staff who look after us at the studio. Make sure to book a table at The Italian Club and The Italian Fish Club on Bold Street. The food is divine.
